Do u have an item in your wardrobe that you will describe as cool and strong? For me, a chic leather jacket will probably fits this description best.
One of the key fashion trends this season is the Winter Floral look. As the New Year countdown celebration is fast approaching, I thought that donning on a pretty floral dress will be a fantastic way to welcome Year 2015!
What I love about this dress is the vibrant colors of the floral prints against a mysterious dark background, very much like a secret garden waiting to be discovered in my own imagination! The weather was quite chilly on the day we took the pictures so the soft fur shawl is a great addition to keep me cozy while adding a touch of elegance to the whole look!
Hope you enjoy this post! See you next week!
Christmas is just around the corner so hope everyone has bought all your gifts and are ready to plunge into the festivity!
Growing up in a traditional Chinese family in an Asian country, Christmas is not widely celebrated in my household. It was only during my University years that I started to experience the tradition of gift-giving and celebration, which I simply equated to having a good time. Years down the road, I now regard Christmas as a time to reflect and count my blessings, not merely a time to have fun. Despite facing many challenges and emotional stress from time to time like so many others, I am always grateful to have the people who love me and whom I love in my life and also having the opportunities to pursue my own goals and happiness.
For today’s post, I have featured a simple preppy chic look with a Christmas tree as a backdrop. This outfit consists of a drop-waisted vertical stripe dress over a long sleeve top. Hope you like it!
To end off, here are some pictures of awesome Christmas decorations taken at Fullerton Hotel which I really love and will like to share with you!
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas in advance and may everything you do comes to fruition!
The next post will only be up after Christmas so see you again then!
I first visited Fullerton Hotel last year during Christmas for a holiday getaway and could not forget how beautiful the decorations were! Therefore, one of my to-do activities this festive period is to re-visit the hotel again and record down the loveliness of the Christmas lights with images!
I really love how the whole place is infused with a strong holiday spirit through the adorable Santa bear decorations and other statement Christmasy adornments! To fit right into the celebratory atmosphere, I went with a pretty black tulle skirt worn over an emerald green mini-dress from H&M! I love the touch of glamor brought to the outfit from the shimmery sequin of the dress/top!
Hope you enjoy this post as much as I do! See you again next week before the Christmas break!
My sister got back from Bangkok, Thailand, recently and got me a casual chic denim maxi skirt. At first glance, I wasn’t particularly impressed as I usually prefer something more flowy and light when it comes to maxi designs. However, after trying the skirt on, I am pleasantly surprise to find how versatile this design is as it seems to go well with a variety of tops I own. For today’s post, I have matched the skirt with a basic forest green top as featured –
Apart from the comfortable fit of the skirt due to the adjustable drawstring waistline, what I love about this piece is the pretty embroidered patterns at the scallop design hem area! I completed the look with a cute nautical pendant necklace and a classy stripe clutch I got from Japan.
Hope you like this chic street style look and see you again soon!
Apart from black, navy blue is my favorite dark color to wear as it complements my skin tone very well. Today’s feature centers on a layered look with navy blue as the main color theme –
This look was created with a long striped print cardigan over a wrap-style dress and a light floral chiffon top. I particularly love the soft colors of the floral against the stark navy blue shade of the dress to create a sharp contrast. Also, I find the mixed of prints between floral and stripes quite a fun way to spice up an otherwise classic dress.
Hope you like this post and will be back with a new post soon! See you again!
As someone who is really petite in build, there are certain fashion trends which I seldom attempt. One of the trend is the over-sized look, which I actually find pretty cool but thought may be too overwhelming for my petite frame. The last thing I want is to look like I have been swallowed by my clothes! Therefore, when I found the two-piece set as featured in this post, I knew I have found the perfect over-sized design for my petite frame!
This cute outfit consists of an over-sized quilted top with wide sleeves and an inner black slip with organza flare bottom! What I specifically love about the top is the unique inverted ‘V’ opening at the back and the adorable black ribbon embellishment just on top of it. The organza bottom is really pretty too!
Hope you love this outfit post and thanks so much for reading! See you again soon!
Waking up to a majestic view of a beautiful beach is one of the most pleasurable experiences anyone could have. On the day we took this series of pictures, I was actually completely unprepared to do so as I had a really late night catching up with friends. However, I quickly changed my mind when I woke up in the late morning and saw how gorgeous the beach located just next to our rented bungalow looked! As it was a cool day in Port Dickson (Malaysia) as well, we decided to go ahead with a quick photoshoot of my outfit for the day –
I was given the opportunity to study overseas during my university days and it was during that time that I met a few of my best girlfriends, who are international students like myself. After graduation, our life journeys have taken different paths; some of us remained overseas while others returned to their home countries. As my girlfriends and I don’t get to meet each other as frequently as before, we grab all chances to catch up whenever possible!
I have always considered myself someone very fortunate as I believe that I have married the sweetest man I could have ever met in my life. Despite disheartening stories about how a relationship can deteriorate after marriage, my own experience has proven otherwise. I am definitely not a perfect wife and my husband is not without his flaws, but we have learnt to communicate, love and care for each other over the years we spent our lives together. When my husband and I were invited to attend our friends’ wedding in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, we believe with all our heart that this couple will also enjoy a blissful marriage life!
The following pictures are taken at the pool area of Bayu Marina Resort, where my friend’s holy matrimony was held:
I was wearing a fitted off-shoulder top over a beautiful and vibrantly colored floral skirt. I decided to match this outfit with an elegant dusty pink clutch which I thought matches really well with the cobalt blue shade of the top. To add an edge to the overall look, I wore a pair of heels with a sleek pointed shape and layered my necklaces to go with the outfit!
Lastly, here is a picture of the lovely couple at their wedding which I have taken the liberty to post here as a fond remembrance of the event:
Hope you enjoyed this post and see you again soon!
