I don’t wear vest very often but I do like the look of a good design as it can make an ensemble appear more outstanding. The waterfall vest featured today was bought many years ago but is still in pristine condition. I thought it was time to take it out for a spin as it has been in the wardrobe for too long!
I adore the soft and beautiful drapes of this waterfall vest which are really lovely in my opinion! For a chic look, I matched the vest with a pair of asymmetrical style shorts and animal print accessories.
Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy this post. Have a great weekend everyone!
I really like lace dress designs as I think that lace fabric is the epitome of femininity and sensuality. I am however careful to choose white as the color for a lace dress, in case it looks too much like a bridal outfit. Hence, I was happy to find a white lace design that is simple enough for normal wear.
Personally, I love matching white with pink as these two colors complement each other really well! As such, my favorite hot pink bag, pastel pink pumps and statement necklace with pretty pink stones are naturally the choices I went for to complete the whole outfit look!
Thanks for reading and see you again later!
Hello everybody! I am back after all the Chinese New Year celebrations the whole of last week! Besides catching up with family and friends, I really had a great time feasting on all sorts of festive goodies and delicacies! It was a fantastic period of fun and rest for me and now I am working on getting back my momentum for blogging, starting with this post!
Having said the above, I will just like to announce that I will be changing my blogging schedule to every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 830am EST/2130pm SGT/930am EDT. If you have been following my blog on a regular basis, kindly note the new schedule and thanks so much for your support!
This is one of my outfits for the Chinese New Year and I had chosen to keep it simple with a chic stripe crop top and a lovely hi-waist white skirt. The latter is actually part of a two-piece set with the top featured here. To add a touch of glam to this look, I matched the outfit with a beautiful statement necklace and a stylish pair of monochrome heels!
Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy this post. See you later!
As tomorrow is Chinese New Year’s Eve, today’s post will be on one of my CNY look comprising of a pretty cheongsam top with embroidered details. The rest of the week will be dedicated to celebrations so this will be the only outfit post this week! As all of you are important to me, I just want to let you know I will be slower in responses during this period.
Cheongsam designs sprout up in many boutiques and online stores as Chinese New Year approaches every year! I love such designs (also known as the Mandarin gown in English) as they exude a nostalgia charm which is very appealing. The version I featured today is a modernized style of a long top with lovely embroidered floral prints! I wore a flare skirt underneath it to add a fun touch to the look.
Wishing everyone who celebrates Chinese New Year a great holiday! See you again after Chinese New Year!
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! This is a season of celebrations for me as Chinese New Year is coming right after Valentine’s. The floral romper featured today is an inspired design from Oasis and is also one of my CNY outfits.
As Chinese New Year signifies the coming of Spring, I believe a pretty floral design will make an extremely suitable outfit choice! What I particularly adore about this playsuit is the flattering wrap style V-neckline and the lovely oriental style bloom prints! As red is an auspicious color during CNY, I decided to complete this outfit look with shades of red via my bag and shoes.
Hope you like this post and wishing everyone a great Valentine’s day once again! See you again next week!
I love convertible designs as they are so versatile and can be worn in a variety of styles. For Valentine’s day, a pink convertible dress with a pair of red shoes and earrings is my idea of a great outfit!
As I was tying the dress into a second style in the washroom of the venue where the pictures were taken, a lady asked me whether I was dressing up for a wedding. Apart from special events like Valentine’s Day, this pretty convertible dress with tulle overlay is indeed very suitable for bridesmaids or even for guests attending weddings! To create a lovely poofy effect, I added a petticoat which I wore as a skirt featured in the last post, underneath the convertible dress.
If you have been following my blog regularly, you may have read the post in which I shared briefly about my previous experience in running a fast-moving fashion business. Due to a change in business direction, I am currently going through a time consuming process of revamping the website. The reason I am bringing this up is because the convertible dress featured here is a design from my new online store, which will be ready soon!
I will share more on the above when the time is ripe so meanwhile, thank you so much for reading! See you again soon!
If you are in an adventurous mood this Valentine’s, you may want to go for a style that is more unexpected and flamboyant. A pouffy ruffled skirt will be my idea of a striking yet gorgeous outfit.
The design of the black ruffled skirt may be regarded as over the top for some, but I really like it as I find the exquisite ruffles are very feminine and pretty. I picked a top with lovely red and pink floral prints to go with the statement skirt as these two colors happened to be closely associated with the Valentine’s theme!
Thank you for reading and I will be featuring a last look for Valentine’s soon. See you!
I know of people who regard Valentine’s as a commercialized event and no doubt there is some truth in this belief. However, I do feel that a day set aside to remind couples or close friends of the significance of expressing their love for each other is very meaningful and important. This is the reason why my husband and I still continue to celebrate this occasion after many years together.
As Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I will be featuring a few looks which I think will be suitable for this occasion, with the first look starting with this post!
As red is one of the main colors synonymous with Valentine’s, a striking red dress will be a great choice for this occasion! I am recently obsessed with statement necklaces after looking at a post on Wendy’s Lookbook in which a stunning piece was featured. This set me on a lookout for a chunky design that is affordable yet seriously gorgeous! I was so happy when I finally found the one that made my heart flutter and needless to say, I immediately thought of matching it with this red dress.
Hope you enjoy the post and I will be featuring a second look for Valentine’s next week! See you again then!
The top featured today comes with attached black sash which is meant to be tied as a bow, a rather unique design in my opinion. I guess this “out of the ordinary” sort of design is not everyone’s cup of tea though, as I found this bow top on huge discount at a boutique specializing in Korean brand clothing. Trying the piece was not allowed at the boutique due to its discounted price nor was return accepted, so I took a leap of faith in getting this piece as I was not entirely sure how it will look on me.
Tying the black sash into a bow so that it sits right did take some time but all it required was a little practice so I would say the effect is not too bad! As the bow top is already quite outstanding, I decided to stick to a classic monochrome palette to keep the look simple.
Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy this post! See you again soon!
There is a regal vibe to a black and gold combination which I really love. In my opinion, these colors work particularly well in glamourous looks involving gowns and party dresses. For today’s feature, I attempted a more dress-down look in black and gold which is suitable for normal wear/occasion.
