Most men like their dates to look demure and pretty on a first date. While this may sound superficial, it is a fact that external factors to do with first impressions and appearance will play an important part in determining how attracted men are to their dates at the initial stage of the relationship. Here are a few practical tips on what to look out for when choosing an outfit for that great first date experience!
White is one of the most beautiful colors to wear in my opinion and I can’t seem to stop wearing it recently! If you are not a fan of wearing this versatile color yet, read on to find out why you should get a white outfit!

Florals are the go-to prints in Spring / Summer so if you have not got on board the floral trend bandwagon yet, it is definitely the time to do so! I am really excited to see more gorgeous floral print fashion items appearing in the shopping scene, ranging from apparels to a wide range of accessories! Apart from florals, other Spring / Summer styles which I really adore this year include the seventies-inspired fringe and tassel trend, pretty lace as well as intricate eyelet details. Here are a few of my favorite picks this season:
Happy Mid-Week everyone!
Releasing the bohemian spirt is a topic I find very interesting to blog about as it covers both the fashionable and emotional sides of an individual. In my mind, a bohemian spirit is synonymous with an attitude of being free-spirited and open-minded, as well as leading a life less prone to stress. While it may take more effort and experience to regulate our emotions, it is definitely easier to work on some of the physical aspects. Here come some of my tips to releasing your inner bohemian spirit –
Summer is approaching and it is no surprise that many couples like to hold their weddings during this season as the weather is warm. If you have started receiving invites to weddings, have you also decided on what to wear for these occasions? Although there are numerous options to choose from, I think that it will be perfect to wear striking prints to a modern day wedding during the Spring/Summer season to complement with the brimming life associated with the warmer months! Prints with vibrant colors will be fun to wear to a wedding but I think more elegant colors such as monochrome or purple will always be appropriate too!
TGIF! Hope everyone has great plans for the weekend!
Now that the weather is warmer, does anyone plan on visiting the beaches or perhaps you have already done so once the sun was out? I am not really a beach enthusiast but I have been lusting over beautiful beach appropriate apparels since I got back from Paris. Therefore when I was introduced to Apparel Candy recently, I was immediately attracted to their wide range of lovely products, especially those suitable for the beach!
Happy Mid-Week everyone!
I know I have been really late in trying the pink and grey outfit trend which was really popular last season, but better late than never right? I have quite a number of pink dresses but do not even own one pink bottom, which partly explains why I have not attempted this color combination until now. To be honest, I still haven’t found a purely pink skirt or pants that I am willing to invest in so I have to be a little creative in order to come up with the post today. The light pink lace bottom featured here is a convertible dress worn as a skirt while the grey top is actually a dress!
Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great start to the week.
Graphic text t-shirts seem to be very popular this season and I have seen such designs in several well-known fashion stores and boutiques. I became a fan of this trend after realizing how chic a top with a cute graphic text quote can be! As black and gold is one of my favorite color combinations, the featured tee naturally caught my attention and I decided to wear it on the day before we departed from Paris. The weather had turned warmer towards the end of our trip and we were glad that we didn’t have to pile on layers of clothing when we visited the beautiful Le Palais Royal and its surrounding areas!
Happy Friday and just a quick post before the weekend!
I like the layered look of a dress over a turtleneck or shirt, so I decided to pair up a shift dress with my staple black knit top while it was still cold in Paris. I had featured a similar style in Japan and the post can be found here if you are interested to have a look. Simply could not resist the idea of styling a dress like it is an overall whenever possible!
