Vertical Row – Ombre Coat
Happy Friday everyone!
I think outerwear like long coats and boxy jackets can sometimes be a little challenging for petites to carry well so it is fantastic that some retailers have petite selections too. As it’s the season for coats and outerwear, I have picked some petite friendly designs from Boohoo, Miss Selfridge, Topshop and ASOS to share here.
A cape blazer is one of the coolest designs around and I have no idea why I have not thought of getting one before! When a friendly coordinator from SheIn contacted me for a collaboration, it did not take me long to pick out this elegant white cape blazer from the many lovely designs to choose from for today’s feature.
If you have been reading my blog on a regular basis, you may have noticed that I have recently added a section on petite-friendly apparel reviews. Most of these apparels will be from the more established online stores in Singapore which offer international shipping. Singapore is an extremely small country and I personally find it really amazing that there are so many successful local-based stores doing well in the competitive (cut-throat in reality!) online market. Having ran a fast-moving online fashion store myself previously, I understand the hard work, dedication and most importantly, passion, that is required to sustain an online fashion business. Therefore, I have a lot of respect for online fashion stores that are able to keep their passion burning and continue to provide beautiful yet affordable designs for their customers. Ultimately, I hope that my reviews will not only serve as an introduction of dedicated Singapore online fashion businesses to an international audience, but can also provide you with some valuable resources if you are petite and always on the look-out for stores that provide suitable apparels.
Happy Friday everyone! It’s already close to end October and the festive season is fast approaching. Although I do find it somewhat shocking that time is passing SO quickly, I am excited about the upcoming celebrations too (already hearing Christmas bells and fireworks for New Year). Hope you are feeling the same way as I do and if you are not feeling it, perhaps some beautiful fashion selections will help? As in my last post here, I have picked out some designs under $200 from Nordstrom. This time, the focus is on lovely pieces suitable for the festive period!

The eyelet top featured today first caught my attention as it resembles a design from Zara as seen here. At half the price for a petite-friendly version which I can foresee will make a good staple for my wardrobe, I could not resist investing in it. The top is from Fashmob, another Singapore online store which I shopped at for the very first time.
Bucket bag designs have been ultra popular on the fashion scene for some time now and for good reasons. They are really cute and can bring an effortlessly chic touch to an outfit easily. Out of the many designs available, I am particularly attracted to bucket bags with eyelet details as they are so pretty! The lovely camel brown buckle bag featured today is a piece I bought from Neonmello, an online store from Singapore.
I have been seeing a lot of high-collar tops and dresses in-stores lately and am very interested to invest in a couple of pieces. After trying a number of designs at Zara, I had to give up as even the smallest size look a little overwhelming on my petite frame. The high-collar dress I wore today is a surprise find I spotted at one of my favorite shopping venues, Bugis Street. I love to visit Bugis Street (a well-known street-shopping location in Singapore) whenever possible as the apparels sold there are petite-friendly, trendy and extremely affordable. On the overall, the quality of the items are good and most of the apparels I bought from there that are still in perfect condition after many washes. So if you are in Singapore or planning to visit, this is a place that I would recommend for petite size apparels that are cheap and good.
Osmose started as a retail store that I have supported since my school days (oh my, how many years ago was that….) and I have always liked their stylish designs which are extremely suitable for petites. This local brand now also operates an online store with international shipping available. The gingham skirt featured today is a purchase I made from one of the Osmose chain stores.
Happy Friday! Just a quick post today on some of the pictures I posted on my Instagram. I have taken an interest to creating #flatlay recently and find the process of shooting these pictures quite fun.
I have been seeing a lot of suede designs recently and being a huge fan of the lace-up trend, I couldn’t help myself falling in love with the camel lace-up suede skirt as featured in today’s post. There are many ways to wear a simple suede skirt like this but I particularly like the idea of pairing it with a light-weight leopard print scarf for a touch of edgy vibe. I absolutely adore how well the colors consisting of different shades of brown come together in this outfit!
