Review – Osmose Gingham Skirt In Monochrome

Gingham Skirt

Osmose started as a retail store that I have supported since my school days (oh my, how many years ago was that….) and I have always liked their stylish designs which are extremely suitable for petites. This local brand now also operates an online store with international shipping available. The gingham skirt featured today is a purchase I made from one of the Osmose chain stores.

To be honest, I may not have gotten the skirt if I only had information on the website as reference. The description is lacking in details although clear pictures are provided. Personally, I also find the product more attractive in real life than presented in the pictures on the website. Now to the actual review! Apart from its versatile and classic monochrome prints, I absolutely love that the gingham skirt comes with functional side pockets and a medium-weight fabric that does not crease easily. The fabric is also non-sheer and the skirt is fully lined. It does not come with a zip but is elastic and stretchable (with limitation) at the waist. If you do not like designs with an elastic waistband, then this piece may not be for you. Personally, I find that the tailoring is well done and the elasticity feels very sturdy so I am not bothered by it.

The skirt can be found here and a crop top of the same fabric is sold separately here if you like a matching two-piece style. Free international shipping is available for purchases of SGD$200 and above.

Hope you enjoy this review and thanks for reading. See you.

I love your thorough and honest review on this, Prudence and it’s a sticky point for me when the description is vague. However, the skirt itself is gorgeous on you and I love the two toned denim shirt!
