If you like to try out a matchy-matchy style without looking overwhelmingly coordinated, the best way to go about doing it is to invest in stylish co-ord, a trend that is becoming more and more popular. I don’t own as many co-ord sets as I think I should, given that they are fuss free (no more time wasted on mix and match!), fashion-forward and easily accessible. The one that I do own though (as featured) has been worn so many times that I have lost count! It is very affordable (bought it in a night market when travelling in Bangkok) and so comfortable to wear for the weekend.
Growing up in Singapore, I have met many girls who are petite and almost every one of them complain about their height at some point. Although I am even shorter than most of them and admire ladies who are blessed in the height department, I don’t see a benefit in complaining about a physical attribute I can never change. Rather, I believe it is more constructive to find ways to look better and dressing well is the key.
I have been seeing more designs with ruffles recently which is bad news for my wallet as I absolutely adore such feminine details. This lovely blue dress is a find at a small booth located in the city, from a Singapore label that I have never heard of. Rental of a retail space, even if it is just a booth, is very expensive in Singapore and I really feel for small local businesses which have to face extreme challenges to survive. So when I realized that the dress is from a local brand, I decided to purchase it even when there are no available changing rooms to try on the dress to see if it fits. While it may just be a dress that costs less than a concert ticket, a sale like this can mean a lot to a small business owner.
I am not someone who follow traditions much so I have to admit that it is a total coincidence that I was wearing this palm print overall dress on Palm Sunday. Though unintended, I was actually quite delighted that the outfit is so befitting of the occasion. In a sense, I felt as though I was commemorating the occasion in my own way. Saint Patrick’s Day happened to be just a few days ago too and this look would have fit into the customary practice of wearing green, don’t you think?
Happy Mid-week, just a quick post on my #ootd last weekend.
Spring is the time to welcome vibrant colors back into our wardrobe and I thought it will be fun to match a colorful top with a vibrant skirt to create that bright and eye-catching outfit! This pleated skirt from Topshop (about two seasons ago) is one of my absolute favorites as it’s flattering and I love how it flows with the wind whenever I parade it. I love Topshop’s skirts, and their current metallic pleated midi skirt in light pink or gold from their Petite Collection is gorgeous too, don’t you think? This Topshop Jersey Pleated Midi Skirt in Dusty Pink is also a very beautiful piece!
I recently attended an exclusive event at Banana Republic, which included an interesting styling session by Furqan Saini, an established and well-known Fashion Stylist from Singapore. Without further ado, let’s go into the details of the style tips shared during this event –

There are very few clothing that I have kept for a decade and the peacock feather print V-neck top featured in this post is one of those really rare pieces. The top was a purchase in Australia where I studied during my University years from the Australian label, Supre.
My husband and I went for a spontaneous trip to Johor Bahru, Malaysia over the weekend. As it was a last minute decision, we were limited in our choices of accommodation in the area we wanted to stay in. Therefore, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel we have selected turned out to be a beautiful place to stay for a short vacation! Apart from its convenient location and clean rooms, what I loved most about the hotel is its small but tastefully decorated lobby. First impressions do count and I was delighted with the overall ambience upon stepping into Geobay Hotel.
