If you want to look your absolute best for summer, you simply can’t skimp on the dresses you own in your closet! Without a doubt, certain designs and colours are more common for the summer season than other times of the year. When it comes to choosing the best summer dress styles to add on to your clothing collection, here are few options that you should look into –
Growing up in Singapore, I have met many girls who are petite and almost every one of them complain about their height at some point. Although I am even shorter than most of them and admire ladies who are blessed in the height department, I don’t see a benefit in complaining about a physical attribute I can never change. Rather, I believe it is more constructive to find ways to look better and dressing well is the key.
When it comes to fashion, there are many Do’s and Dont’s of wearing particular items for petites and other types of body shapes. While these tips can be very helpful and make complete sense, I see fashion as a creative form that is meant to be enjoyed and experienced. It is really fun to break the rules and just play with different looks. This is the best way to discover what suits you best, which inevitably helps in the manifestation of your personal style and taste. This process takes time and practice, but those who are adventurous and persistent in experimenting with a variety of styles will eventually cultivate a sharp eye for what works and what don’t.

The off-shoulder top has been getting lots of attention on the fashion scene this season and I can easily see why! It allows a woman to look sexy and feminine without over exposure and can be matched in so many different ways for a stylish look. The butterfly print palazzo pants is a piece I bought from a Bali trip many years ago and as it makes quite a statement already, I thought it will be good to tone down the dramatic design with a classic lace off-shoulder top.
I love statement necklaces as they can glam up a look so instantly and effortlessly, as well as be mixed and matched with many different kinds of outfits! Personally, I like the idea of wearing a chunky piece with a low neckline for some coverage but a statement necklace looks equally beautiful when matched with a simple tee or classic shirt.
The popularity of these jewelry can be seen by the huge variety of designs and colors available in the marketplace. It can get really overwhelming to pick one that you like but it is always fun to browse in my opinion! I have selected some that caught my attention so do check them out in the gallery below!
Do you like statement necklaces and if you do, how would you usually wear them? Thank you for reading and do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section. See you and have an awesome weekend!

Happy Mid-Week everyone!
I know I have been really late in trying the pink and grey outfit trend which was really popular last season, but better late than never right? I have quite a number of pink dresses but do not even own one pink bottom, which partly explains why I have not attempted this color combination until now. To be honest, I still haven’t found a purely pink skirt or pants that I am willing to invest in so I have to be a little creative in order to come up with the post today. The light pink lace bottom featured here is a convertible dress worn as a skirt while the grey top is actually a dress!
