I have been gifted a few neck scarves recently and while I love all of them, I think a classic print like this Connect The Dot scarf from Bobbibows is definitely a winner! Polka dot just can not go wrong with its timeless appeal and I had fun creating this summery polka dot on polka dot outfit look over the weekend.
There are certain trends that I would never have tried if I do not read fashion blogs. The men’s shirt is an example but articles such as 10 Stylish Ways a Woman Can Wear A Men’s Shirt do encourage me to think out of the box.
Happy hump day, hope you are having a great week so far!
I am quite adventurous when it comes to trying new trends or styles but the oversized blazer is something I tend to avoid. This pastel pink blazer was an impulse buy and had been lying in my closet for a long time. I bought it because I love the color but never got to wearing it as it looks big on my frame (why didn’t I thought of that when I bought it?).
I have been seeing more orange or tangerine colored apparels in shopping malls and I am quite tempted to add a couple of designs to my wardrobe. There is something about the color that particularly attracts me this season although I can’t quite put a finger to where the attraction lies. While yellow is a super cheerful color and red is smoking hot, orange is somewhere in between which could explain why I find it charming in its own ways!
How is life treating you so far? I have been very busy recently due to a heavier workload so I will be posting on the blog less frequently. Fashion and personal styling has always been a huge passion of mine and I will strive to post at least once to twice a week to keep the blog going. Instagram and Facebook are where I will be posting more activities moving forward :).
One of the great things about having a sister is that you can borrow clothes from her once in a while. We do not always share the same taste in clothing but in this case, the super fun prints of this dress of hers attracted my attention immediately! Similar to bright colors such as yellow or coral pink, cute prints have a mood enhancing effect on me. I just felt like twirling round and round in this hot-air balloon printed dress which comes with equally adorable round buttons.
If you feel that you are in a style rut and constantly struggling to spice up your office look, one of the easiest ways to get out of it is to add colors to your outfits. While not all of us are comfortable with wearing striking colors or have the eye for matching colors flawlessly, it is definitely easier to introduce colors against a neutral shade such as white, nude or black.
The pink and grey combo was all the rage last year but the rave seems to have died down. Nevertheless, I think that it is one of the most lovely color combinations ever! With pink blooms spotted all over the neighborhood I stay at, I couldn’t resist using these beautiful florals as a backdrop for my pink and grey weekend #ootd.
Growing up in Singapore, I have met many girls who are petite and almost every one of them complain about their height at some point. Although I am even shorter than most of them and admire ladies who are blessed in the height department, I don’t see a benefit in complaining about a physical attribute I can never change. Rather, I believe it is more constructive to find ways to look better and dressing well is the key.
I am not someone who follow traditions much so I have to admit that it is a total coincidence that I was wearing this palm print overall dress on Palm Sunday. Though unintended, I was actually quite delighted that the outfit is so befitting of the occasion. In a sense, I felt as though I was commemorating the occasion in my own way. Saint Patrick’s Day happened to be just a few days ago too and this look would have fit into the customary practice of wearing green, don’t you think?
